Most questions have a short answer. If yours is not below, write to proof@suur.io. We reply within two business days.
I am in crisis.
If you are in immediate danger or thinking about hurting yourself, contact 988 in the United States (call or text), or your local emergency services. The "Talk Before You Drink" feature in Proof is a companion tool, not a crisis line.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Go to iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions → Proof → Cancel Subscription. Your access stays active until the end of the current billing period.
How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Open Proof on the new device, go to Settings → Restore Purchases, and sign in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe. StoreKit handles the rest.
Where is my data stored?
Locally on your iPhone, plus your own private iCloud container. SUUR LLC does not store your timeline, slips, or conversations on our servers. Apple Health data is read on-device only and is never transmitted. See the Privacy Policy for the full breakdown, including every processor we use.
What happens if I slip?
Tap "Log a slip" in the dashboard. The timeline resets to hour zero. Your previous streak is preserved in your history; it does not disappear. The AI's response after a slip is direct and shame-free.
Why does the timeline say different things for different people?
Recovery milestone timing adapts to gender, weight, drinks consumed, and age. Female metabolism extends early-recovery duration by roughly 20%; age factor ranges from 0.9× (18–25) to 1.15× (46+). Two people on the same day will see milestones at slightly different times.
How does the free tier work?
You get three AI conversations per seven-day window. Conversations only count after the AI successfully responds. The app shows what is left under the chat input — "2 of 3 conversations left" — so the limit is visible before you reach it.
The window resets seven days after you start. If you are away when it ends, it resets the next time you open the app, and the next seven days run from there. So the reset follows your use rather than the calendar, and the date can move if you take a break.
Once the allowance is used, the app tells you roughly when it returns — "Resets in 2 days". That figure rounds up, so you may get your conversations back sooner than it says. It errs late on purpose: a countdown that expired early would send you back to a wall.
Everything else stays free permanently: the full 88-milestone timeline and every milestone detail screen, intensive mode through the first 72 hours, Apple Health trends, streak and money-saved stats, milestones, slip reset, and notifications.
What does Pro unlock?
Unlimited AI conversations. That is the whole list. Pro does not unlock timeline content, health features, or achievements — those are free, and they stay free.
Pro is $9.99 USD per month or $79.99 USD per year. The annual plan includes a one-week free trial; the monthly plan does not. App Store pricing varies by territory, so the amount you see may differ.
Does talking before a craving use up my free conversations?
No. Crisis conversations are never gated and never count against the three. There is deliberately no paywall between a craving and support, on any tier.
This holds when you are out. If you have used all three conversations, a crisis conversation still opens. The count under the chat input applies to milestone conversations only and never appears in crisis chat.
How do I delete all my data?
Deleting the Proof app from your iPhone removes the copy stored on the device. To have your iCloud-synced data and any records held by our processors erased as well, write to proof@suur.io. We action the request and confirm when it is done, within 30 days.
Is Proof a substitute for therapy or medical care?
No. Proof is a companion app, not medical advice. If you have a history of severe alcohol withdrawal, do not stop drinking without medical supervision. See the Terms of Use for the full disclaimer.
Still need help?
