Privacy Policy
Effective May 12, 2026
Proof is built by SUUR LLC. This policy describes what data the Proof iOS app collects, where it lives, and how it is handled. The short version: most of what you do in Proof never leaves your iPhone and your iCloud.
What we collect
Data not linked to you
- Health & fitness: If you connect Apple Health, Proof reads heart rate variability, resting heart rate, and sleep data to contextualize your timeline. We never write to Apple Health.
- Subscription state: StoreKit tells the app whether you have an active subscription. We do not receive your name, email, or payment details from Apple.
- Anonymous diagnostics: When the app crashes, Apple collects an anonymous crash log if you opted in at the OS level. We use these to fix bugs.
Data we do not collect
- We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or any identifier.
- We do not collect your location.
- We do not collect your browsing or search history.
- We do not collect contacts, photos, or device identifiers.
- We do not collect or store the content of conversations with the AI on our servers.
Where your data lives
Everything you create in Proof — your timeline state, slip log, beats you have talked to, achievements — lives in two places:
- Locally on your iPhone, in app-private storage.
- In your private iCloud Documents container, encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple.
SUUR LLC does not run a database with your information in it. There is nothing for us to leak because there is nothing for us to store.
How AI conversations work
When you tap a beat and write a message, your message is sent through a Cloudflare Worker proxy operated by SUUR LLC to Anthropic, who runs the Claude model that replies. The proxy adds the API key and forwards the request. We do not log the contents.
Anthropic is a sub-processor for the duration of the API call. Their data handling for API traffic is described at anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
Age
Proof is rated 17+ on the App Store because the AI can discuss subjects that are not appropriate for minors. The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from them.
Your rights
Because we do not store your information on our servers, you can delete everything Proof knows about you by deleting the app from your iPhone and removing the Proof container from Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage → Proof. That is the end of it.
If you are in the EU/UK, this also satisfies your right to erasure under GDPR. If you are in California, the same applies to your CCPA rights.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update the effective date above. Material changes are also noted in the app's About screen so you can see them without leaving the app.
